How do I identify speakers and interview questions?

1 min readFiles and media

Overview

Use Edit Transcript or Assign Speakers and Interview Structure. Give recurring speakers stable names or roles, mark interviewer questions and participant answers, and assign the same question key to equivalent questions across files. This structure allows question-based comparison without changing how the transcript appears as a document. When you reopen the window, the role, turn type, question key and question label you saved are shown again, so you can change one line without losing the rest.

What to do

  1. Correct speaker labels before assigning analytical roles.
  2. Mark question headings and the answers that belong beneath them.
  3. Reuse stable question keys across participants.
  4. Preview detected questions before comparing documents.
