How sharp are downloaded maps and figures?
Overview
Downloaded PNG maps and figures are drawn at up to three times their on-screen size, so text and lines stay crisp when you zoom in, print, or place them in a document. On very large maps the factor is lowered automatically to stay within what the browser can produce, so the picture is never cut off. The figure keeps the same proportions and layout as on screen.
What to do
- Use the PNG button next to Download on the map or figure.
- For a journal, add the figure to Results Builder and download it from there.
