How do my files get their names in figures and tables?

1 min readAnalysis

Overview

In figures, tables and other outputs, a file is named by the labels you chose (see Labels). If you chose none, it is named by its ID variable, if you have one: a variable called something like ID, Participant ID or Case code that has a different short value for every file. Otherwise the file title is used. In the main workspace (file lists, readers, pickers, the Overview and the AI Assistant’s sources) you always see the real file names.

What to do

  1. To use labels, open Labels in the Analysis or Results header and tick the variables.
  2. To use an ID, add a variable such as Participant ID with one different value per file.
  3. Without either, the file title is used.
