How should I select quotations and evidence for a finding?
Overview
Start with all the passages coded with the codes in the figure or table. Keep the ones that are clear, fair to their context, and together show the range of the finding. Include passages that contradict or complicate the pattern, not only those that confirm it, and remove repeats.
What to do
- Read each candidate with its file and variable values visible.
- Keep enough surrounding text so the quotation cannot mislead.
- Balance typical passages with real variation or contradiction.
- Check anonymization and permissions before you publish.
