What does the Memo-Centered Concept Network contribute?
Overview
The network connects researcher memos with the codes or analytical subjects to which they are attached. It is useful for tracing concept development, identifying under-memoed codes, comparing competing interpretations, and making reflexive decisions visible while preparing findings. Find it under Analysis › Relations & Maps › Memo Network.
What to do
- Use Codes shown to choose how many codes appear; the last choice is All. Every memo linked to those codes is drawn.
- Use meaningful memo titles and attach notes to the correct project, document, code, question, or evidence item.
- Review clusters for repeated ideas, unresolved tensions, and changes in interpretation.
- Return to participant evidence before turning a memo-based concept into a finding.
When to use it
- To see which codes your memos connect to.
