Where do I enter the details that Methods and findings use?
Overview
Click the pencil beside the Methods heading in Results (or Edit project details in the Overview). Record your aim, research questions, context, method, how you coded, ethics and language. The Methods draft uses only what you have written and leaves out anything you have not, so nothing is invented. The ⓘ beside the heading shows which groups are filled in.
What to do
- Open Edit project details and fill in the fields that apply. When your project already shows a fact (for example that you used AI, or transcribed recordings), the form offers a suggestion with Use this and Not now.
- Leave a field empty rather than writing a placeholder.
- Regenerate Methods after you change details or variables. Methods includes all project variables; later edits do not change the saved Methods until you regenerate.
- Read the draft and correct anything that does not match what you did.
- Methods tables call your sources S1, S2 and so on, and a source key lists each one with its original title. These names refer to sources, not necessarily participants, and do not change map labels.
- Methods review and sources lists gaps and unclear statements. These notes stay in the editor and are not exported. Statements about language or future steps that are still unclear are not written as if they were done.
