Can I use Byleron QDA without any AI?
Overview
Yes. AI is optional. Reading, manual coding, memos, search, every analysis, the maps, the findings in Results and the downloads all work without sending anything to an AI service. AI is used only when you start an AI task, such as a coding suggestion, chat with your data, a transcription or an Evidence Matrix draft. You review each result before anything is saved. The Free plan has no AI features at all.
What to do
- Simply do not start an AI task; nothing is sent in the background.
- Leave the AI output language and AI settings as they are; they only apply when you use an AI feature.
- If your ethics approval does not allow AI processing, code manually and use Analysis and Results Builder for tables and figures.
